Born on December 30, 1740, at Norfolk House, London, England; died on September 4, 1759, in Kew Palace, Richmond, Surrey, England; buried at Westminster Abbey; daughter of Frederick Louis, prince of Wales, and Augusta of Saxe-Gotha (1719–1772); sister of George III, king of England.
