Boufflers, Madeleine-Angelique, Duchesse de (1707–1787)
French Salonnière. Name variations: Madeleine-Angelique de Neufville-Villeroi, duchesse de Luxemburg or Luxembourg; Maréchale de Luxembourg. Born in 1707; died in 1787; married the Duc de Boufflers; married the Maréchal (Marshal) of Luxembourg.
Her first husband was the Duc de Boufflers; her second, the maréchal (marshal) of Luxembourg. In the latter part of the 18th century, Madeleine-Angelique, duchess de Boufflers, held a salon that was a popular meeting place for the cream of society. She was a patron of Rousseau.
