Ranz des vaches
Ranz des vaches (Kuhreigen, Kuhreihen). Cow-procession. A type of Swiss Alpine melody, sung or played on the Alphorn to call the cows scattered over the mountain-side. Walton's Façade contains a parody of a Ranz des vaches.
