morning glory

morn·ing glo·ry • n. a climbing plant (genus Ipomoea, family Convolvulaceae) often cultivated for its showy trumpet-shaped flowers, which typically open in the early morning and wither by midday. Its several species include the common morning glory (I. purpurea).
