choragic. Pertaining to the leader (choragus) of a Greek chorus, so a choragic monument (such as that of Lysicrates (334 bc) or Thrasyllus (319–279 bc) in Athens) was one created in honour of a choragus, and supported a bronze tripod given as a prize.

choragic monuments

choragic monuments [Gr.,=of the choragus, the chorus leader], small decorative structures erected in ancient Greece to commemorate the victory of the leader of a chorus in the competitive choral dances. The best known is that of Lysicrates (c.335 BC), still standing in Athens, a graceful circular structure showing one of the early uses of Corinthian columns.
