[often in comb.] a small Old World songbird (Saxicola and other genera) of the thrush family, with a harsh call and typically with bold black, white, and buff or chestnut coloration. 2. any of a number of small songbirds with harsh calls, esp. a New World warbler, (genera Icteria and Granatellus), that typically has a yellow or pink breast. |

chat The process of communicating with other users of the Internet in REAL TIME. The most common way of doing this is via CHAT ROOMS or MULTI USER DUNGEONS. There are a variety of reasons for using a chat room, ranging from companionship to sexual contact. A number of companies have implemented chat rooms on their WEB PAGES so that their customers can engage in online dialogue about the products or services sold by the company.
