Salih

Salih Qur'anic non-biblical prophet, sent to the people of Thamud in Arabia. His call for monotheism is said to have been met with scorn and rejection. Having killed a camel sent as a sign by God, the Thamud people were subjected to a devastating storm. Recent archaeological findings have located Thamud in NW Saudi Arabia.

Ṣaliḥ

Ṣaliḥ. Prophet and rasūl who, according to the Qurʾān, was sent to the Thamūd. Nothing is known of him apart from the Qurʾān, where he appears, like other prophets, as a warner, who was rejected by most of his people.
