Discipline, Manual of
Discipline, Manual of. One of the Dead Sea Scrolls. It contains a description of the customs of the Dead Sea sect including the annual renewal of the covenant. This is followed by an explanation of the spiritual status of the sect. The document concludes with three hymns of praise. The Manual is thought to date from approximately 150 BCE.
