Mankind
Mankind, a morality play in 914 lines from East Anglia, dating from c.1465, one of the group called Macro plays after their 18th-cent. owner (the others are Wisdom and The Castle of Perseverance). Its principal theme is Sloth (Accidia), and it is written in the Low Style with much employment of obscenity.
