Jethro , Midianite priest of the peninsula of Sinai who was the companion and father-in-law of Moses. He is also called Reuel, Raguel, and Hobab.

Jethro The father-in-law of Moses (Exod. 3: 1) and a Midianite. He gave Moses advice on the structure of legal administration (Exod. 18). Elsewhere (e.g. Exod. 2: 18) Moses' father-in-law is called Reuel and Hobab.
