Gorky or Gorky Leninskoye , suburb of Moscow, central European Russia. The country home of Lenin, who died there, is now a memorial museum.

Gorki, Yamalo‐Nenets Autonomous District/Russia Gorki Leninskiye ‘Mountain’ from gora. Leninskiye was added because of Lenin's^† association with the town in 1918–24. He spent time here following an assassination attempt on him in 1918 and he died here. This town should not be confused with Gorky (now Nizhniy Novgorod).
