Elara
Elara A satellite of Jupiter, thirteenth in order of distance from the planet; also known as Jupiter VII. It orbits in 259.6 days at a distance of 11 741 000 km, close to Lysithea's orbit. It is 80 km in diameter, and was discovered in 1905 by the American astronomer Charles Dillon Perrine (1867–1951). It is a member of the Himalia group of Jovian satellites.
