Aquarius
A·quar·i·us / əˈkwe(ə)rēəs/ 1. Astron. a large constellation, the Water-carrier or Water-bearer, said to represent a man pouring water from a jar. ∎ [as genitive] (A·quar·i·i / -ēˌī/ ) used with a preceding letter or numeral to designate stars: the star Alpha Aquarii. 2. Astrol. the eleventh sign of the zodiac, which the sun enters about January 21. ∎ (an Aquarius) a person born when the sun is in this sign. |

Aquarius
Aquarius (abbr. Aqr, gen. Aquarii) A constellation of the zodiac, popularly known as the water-carrier, through which the Sun passes from the third week of February to the second week of March. Its brightest stars are Alpha Aquarii (Sadalmelik) and Beta Aquarii (Sadalsuud), both of magnitude 2.9. It contains the 7th-magnitude globular cluster M2, the Helix Nebula, and the Saturn Nebula. Three meteor showers radiate from Aquarius each year, the Delta Aquarids, the Eta Aquarids, and the Iota Aquarids.

Aquarius
Aquarius [Lat.,=water carrier], large constellation located on the ecliptic (the sun's apparent path through the heavens) between Capricornus and Pisces; it is one of the constellations of the zodiac . Aquarius is sometimes represented as a man pouring water from a jar. Although it contains no stars of first or second magnitude, it does contain a recurrent nova observed in 1907 and again in 1962. Aquarius reaches its highest point in the evening sky in October. |

Aquarius
Aquarius in astrology, the eleventh sign of the zodiac, which the sun enters about 21 January. The name is from Latin ‘of water’, used as a noun to mean ‘water carrier’.
The Age of Aquarius is an astrological age which is about to begin, marked by the precession of the vernal equinox into Aquarius, believed by some to herald worldwide peace and harmony. |
