bub·ble·gum / ˈbəbəlˌgəm/ • n. 1. chewing gum that can be blown into bubbles. ∎  (also bubblegum pink) the bright pink color of such gum. 2. [usu. as adj.] a thing considered to be insipid, simplistic, or adolescent in taste or style: rockers hate bubblegum pop.
