mi·cro / ˈmīkrō/ • n. (pl. -cros) 1. short for microcomputer. 2. short for microprocessor. • adj. extremely small: a micro dining area. ∎  small-scale: CO2 emissions cannot be dealt with at the micro level. Often contrasted with macro.
