Tophet

Tophet a term for hell, from the name of a place in the Valley of Hinnom near Jerusalem used for idolatrous worship, including the sacrifice of children, and later for burning refuse.

Tophet

Tophet (tō´fĬt), in the Bible, place near Jerusalem, in the valley of Hinnom, associated with the worship of Molech. Tophet became a name for hell.
