Arabella

Arabella. Opera in 3 acts by R. Strauss to lib. by Hofmannsthal based on a combination of his short story Lucidor (1909) and his play Der Fiaker als Graf (The Cabby as Count) (1925). Their last collaboration. Comp. 1930–2. Prod. Dresden 1933, CG 1934, NY Met 1955. Rev. 1939 (Munich).
