bum·mer / ˈbəmər/ • n. inf. 1. (a bummer) a thing that is annoying or disappointing: the party was a real bummer. ∎  an unpleasant reaction to a hallucinogenic drug. 2. a loafer or vagrant. • interj. inf. used to express frustration or disappointment, typically sympathetically: You lost your wallet? Bummer!
