bam·boo·zle / bamˈboōzəl/ • v. [tr.] inf. fool or cheat (someone): Tom Sawyer bamboozled the neighborhood boys into doing it for him. ∎  (often be bamboozled) confound or perplex: bamboozled by the number of savings plans being offered.
