nee·dle·point / ˈnēdlˌpoint/ • n. 1. embroidery worked over canvas, typically in diagonal stitches covering the entire surface of the fabric. 2. (also needlepoint lace) lace made by hand using a needle rather than bobbins. • v. [tr.] embroider in needlepoint.
