Description:

Independent, comprehensive, coed, affiliated with Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Awards associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Founded 1849. Setting: 30-acre small town campus with easy access to Pittsburgh. Endowment: $30.8 million. Research spending 2003-04: $20,000. Educational spending 2003-04: $6042 per student. Population 5299, Waynesburg is located 50 miles from Pittsburgh in southwestern Pennsylvania. The climate is moderate. Local recreation includes theatres, hunting, boating, fishing, golf, and movies. Many civic, fraternal and veteran's organizations are active in the community.
