Description: County-supported, 2-year, coed. Awards certificates, transfer associate, and terminal associate degrees. Founded 1965. Setting: 200-acre urban campus. Total enrollment: 7,052. 2,163 applied, 100% were admitted. Full-time: 3,073 students, 65% women, 35% men. part-time: 3,979 students, 70% women, 30% men. Students come from 10 other countries, 0.3% Native American, 14% Hispanic, 16% black, 1% Asian American or Pacific Islander, 1% international, 42% 25 or older. Core. Calendar: semesters. Academic remediation for entering students, services for LD students, advanced placement, self-designed majors, honors program, distance learning, summer session for credit, part-time degree program, adult/continuing education programs, co-op programs and internships. Off campus study at Baylor University. Study abroad program. ROTC: Air Force (c).
