Eurosiberian floral region Part of R. Good's (1974, The Geography of the Flowering Plants) Boreal Realm: an extensive region, in which the flora of the western part is richer than that of the eastern part. Whereas Europe has roughly 150 endemic genera (see endemism), Siberia apparently has only about 12, almost all of which are monotypic. The contrast between the two subregions reflects primarily the different climatic regimes. See also floral province and floristic region.
