bornhardt

bornhardt A rounded, often isolated hill developed in massive rock that is found in the humid tropics. Its shape is controlled by large-scale exfoliation or sheeting joints. Such hills are sometimes called ‘sugar-loaf’ hills, after the granitic dome of the Sugar Loaf, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
