noradrenalin

noradrenalin (norepinephrine) A catecholamine hormone, secreted by the adrenal medulla, which has effects similar to, but less pronounced than, those of adrenalin. It elicits a wide variety of responses, including an increase in blood-sugar level due to its stimulation of the breakdown of glycogen.
