Stenopelmatidae

Stenopelmatidae (Jerusalem crickets, king crickets, sand crickets, stone crickets; order Orthoptera, suborder Ensifera) Family of large, wingless insects, most species of which live in rotting logs or under stones, or burrow in sand or loose soil. They are most common in the tropics. One Indian genus is blind, and always lives below ground. The antennae are usually longer than the body.
