Sisoridae (superorder Ostariophysi, order Siluriformes) A small family of freshwater catfish that have a robust yet depressed body, small eyes, broad-based barbels, and relatively large pectoral fins. The flattened belly side and the pectoral fins help the fish keep its position in the fast-flowing mountain streams of the Asian highlands.
