Pauropoda
Pauropoda (phylum Arthropoda, subphylum Atelocerata) A class of small (0.5–2.0 mm long), soft-bodied animals resembling millipedes. There are usually 11 segments of which nine bear legs, the first and last segments and
telson being legless. Some of the dorsal plates are large and overlap adjacent segments. The head bears two-branched antennae and a disc-like sensory organ on either side. Pauropods occur widely in temperate and tropical regions, often in forest litter, and about 380 species are known.
