Pangasiidae

Pangasiidae (subclass Actinopterygii, order Siluriformes) A family of freshwater catfish that have a high dorsal fin, a small adipose fin, one pair of chin barbels, a long anal fin, and a forked tail fin. Some species, e.g. Pangasianodon gigas, can exceed a length of 2 m in their native south-east Asian waters. There are about 25 species. The members of this family are sometimes included in the family Schilbeidae.
