dorsal fin, low-placed
pectoral fins, small, midventral,
pelvic fins, and a long-based
anal fin. The order includes the
Notopteridae (featherback),
Hiodontidae (mooneye),
Osteoglossidae (bony tongue), and
Pantodontidae (butterfly fish).
