Mesozoic
Mesozoic The middle of three eras that constitute the
Phanerozoic period of time, about 251–65.5 Ma ago. The Mesozoic (literally ‘middle life’) was preceded by the
Palaeozoic Era and followed by the
Cenozoic Era. The Mesozoic comprises the
Triassic,
Jurassic, and
Cretaceous Periods.
