‘Rhenish’ Symphony

‘Rhenish’ Symphony. Name given to Schumann's Sym. No.3 in E♭ major (No.4 in order of comp.), comp. 1850, f.p. 1851. The 4th of its 5 movts. was inspired by the installation of a cardinal at Cologne on the Rhine.
