Joachim, who was 1st vn. 1869–1907. Annual series of concerts in Berlin from 1869. Visits to Vienna, Budapest, Rome, Paris, and London (1900). K. Haliř led the qt. during Joachim's illness in 1907, and formed his own qt. after Joachim's death.
