Corsaire, Le (The Corsair). Concert-ov., Op.21, by Berlioz, based on Byron's poem. First drafted in 1831, then rev. Nice 1844 under title The Tower at Nice. Perf. thus in Jan. 1845 and again rev. 1855. At one point called Le Corsaire rouge, Fr. title of Fenimore Cooper's The Red Rover.
