oxidative phosphorylation
oxidative phosphorylation The synthesis of
ATP from
ADP and inorganic phosphate, linked to the
redox reactions in the
electron-transport chains of
mitochondria. Oxidative phosphorylation occurs during aerobic respiration and produces a high yield of ATP moles.
