Podophyllum
Podophyllum (family Boberidaceae) A genus of herbs that are closely related to the Berberidaceae. The fruit is a berry, with the seeds enveloped in the enlarged placenta. The rhizome resin provides a drug used to treat warts. There are 2 or 3 species occurring in eastern Asia, and 1 species (P. peltatum, May apple) in N. America.
