Coffea
Coffea (family Rubiaceae) A genus of 40 species of shrubs and small trees which occur in the Old World tropics, especially Africa. The fruit is a berry. C. arabica gives Arabian coffee, of the highest quality; C. liberica, grown mainly at lower elevations, gives Liberian coffee; and C. canephora gives robusta coffee. Beans of the latter two are blended with beans from C. arabica.
