Actinotus
Actinotus (family Umbelliferae) A genus that is thought to link the evolution of endemic Australian genera of Umbelliferae to cosmopolitan genera. Known as ‘flannel flowers’, most members of the genus are
biennial herbs found in areas of low fertility and in some arid regions. There are 17 species found in Australia, with 1 in New Zealand.
