uveitis

uveitis (yoo-vi-I-tis) n. inflammation of any part of the uveal tract of the eye, either the iris (iritis), ciliary body (cyclitis), or choroid (choroiditis). All types may lead to visual impairment, and uveitis is an important cause of blindness.
