ureterolithotomy

ureterolithotomy (yoor-ee-ter-oh-lith-ot-ŏmi) n. the surgical removal of a stone (calculus) from the ureter. If the stone occupies the lower portion of the ureter, it may be extracted by cystoscopy, thus avoiding open surgery.
