tolbutamide
tolbutamide (tol-bew-tă-myd) n. a drug taken by mouth in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It acts directly on the pancreas to stimulate insulin production and is particularly effective in elderly patients with mild diabetes. See also
