ataxia telangiectasia

ataxia telangiectasia (til-an-ji-ek-tay-ziă) n. an inherited (autosomal recessive) neurological disorder. Ataxia is usually noted early in life. Prominent blood vessels are visible in the sclerae of the eyes, and mental retardation, growth retardation, abnormal eye movements, skin lesions, and immune deficiency may be found.
