antifungal (antimycotic) (anti-fung-ăl) adj. describing a drug that kills or inactivates fungi and is used to treat fungal (including yeast) infections. Antifungal drugs include amphotericin, griseofulvin, the imidazoles, nystatin, terbinafine, and tolnaftate.
