Sudek's atrophy

Sudek's atrophy (reflex sympathetic dystrophy) (soo-deks) n. intense pain, swelling, stiffness, and sweaty mottled skin in a limb, caused by overactivity of the sympathetic nervous system following trauma, surgery, or disease. [ P. H. M. Sudek (1866–1938), German surgeon]
