poire williams

poire williams Pear liqueur prepared by steeping williams pears in pear brandy (eau de vie prepared by distillation of perry). Traditionally a bottle is placed over the developing fruit bud on the tree; when the fruit has ripened it is then steeped in pear brandy in the bottle in which it has grown.
