kiwano

kiwano Fruit of Cucumis metuliferus, originally from arid regions of southern Africa, now grown commercially in Australia and New Zealand, but with a limited market because of its bland flavour. Also known as melano, African horned cucumber, jelly melon, hedged gourd, horned melon, English tomato.
