(XIII) are tiliere, extension with -ere of OE. tilia tiller, cultivator, bowiare bowyer, maker of bows; these may have served as models for other formations of various and sometimes obscure orig., e.g. brazier, clothier; collier, drovier, glazier, grazier, haulier, hosier, lawyer, sawyer.
