everybody

everybody everybody loves a lord proverbial statement, recorded from the mid 19th century, of the attraction of fame or distinction.
everybody's business is nobody's business when something is of some interest to everyone, no single person takes full responsibility for it. The saying is recorded from the early 17th century, but a comparable thought is found in Aristotle's Politics, ‘a matter common to most men receives least attention.’
what everybody says must be true sometimes used ironically to assert that popular gossip is often inaccurate; saying recorded from the late 14th century.
