standard temperature and pressure (STP) (normal temperature and pressure) In chemistry and physics, normal conditions for measurements, especially when comparing the volumes of gases. It is a temperature of 273K or 0°C (32°F), and a pressure: 1 standard atmosphere (101,325 pascals).
