Tatlin, Vladimir Evgrafovitch

Tatlin, Vladimir Evgrafovitch (1885–1953) Russian sculptor. In 1913, influenced by cubism and futurism, he instigated the abstract art style known as constructivism. Tatlin used industrial materials such as metal, tin, and glass. He is chiefly celebrated for his Reliefs: innovative, three-dimensional constructions that removed pictorial illusion.
